Black Ivory Coffee is considered by many as the world’s rarest coffee and can cost more than $500 per pound! Once you find out how this rare blend is made you might be left wondering who would be willing to pay such a high price. The process starts with Arabica coffee beans. These beans are fed to elephants and collected from their waste. During digestion, the enzymes and ingredients in the Elephant’s stomach combined with an extra slow digestion period bring a unique taste to the coffee (we’ll say!). It has been described as “very smooth without the bitterness of regular coffee.”

We aren’t bitter about the lack of elephants applying for positions at Nordeast Coffee because, if there’s one thing we know, it’s how to make great tasting coffee for a whole lot less than $500 per pound!
