Coffee-Pouring Puzzle!

This puzzle was shared on Twitter last Thursday and has since made the rounds. The image shows four coffee mugs awaiting a pour from above. Pipes serve as a pathway to the cups, but the tricky part is figuring out which cup would be filled with coffee first: 4, 9, 5, or 7.

Okay, here it is…

The correct answer is actually cup number 5. If you got it wrong, look closer. Rather than determining the length of the pipes leading to each cup, you need to check if coffee can actually get into the cups. The pipes leading to cup numbers 4, 9, and 7 are completely sealed off, so it’s only possible for coffee to get into cup number 5.
